A question for Rick Riordan, author of P.Jackson and The Olympians

Dear Mr Rick Riordan,

I couldn’t comment on your blog so I posted this on mine. I don’t know if you will possibly read this but anyway, if this reaches you, I have a question for you about your novel: Percy Jackson & The Olympians. I’m not sure if this has been asked to you already though.

*Warning: Spoilers for readers who might wanna read the novel.*

Why did you choose Poseidon as Percy’s father? Why not Zeus? Is it because you already thought of the whole story beforehand or was it Poseidon being your most favorite Greek god?

Sincerely,
A Greek myth fan

P.S. I made a review for your novel. It’s somewhere below.

  1. that is an amazing question! I have been thinking about that the entire time that i knew Poseidon was Percy’s dad. good idea thinking to ask him. hey maybe because it was easier to use a god of the sea because it is hard to have someone that can fly. and cause then he can use the fact that the bermuda triangle is because of all that god stuff more openly and cuz maybe there are lots of stories about the fact that Poseidon has lots of kids that are cyclopes and he wanted Percy to have a cyclopes brother…yeah…maybe thats it…well thats all i have to say.
    good day mate! jk! bye!
